Quilting Designs
Quilting done by Heirloom Quilting Studios falls into several general categories and price ranges.
ALL-OVER FREEHAND QUILTING
Starting at $0.01 per square inch. This is the fastest and most inexpensive way to have your quilt completed. It includes large and medium meandering patterns as well as what we call doodling, an all-over loopy or meandering pattern with figures such as hearts, stars, and leaves added here and there. It can include cursive writing in the body or borders of the quilt.
ALL-OVER PANTOGRAPH QUILTING
Starting at $0.0125 per square inch. The same pattern is repeated over and over to provide an all-over design. There are hundreds of patterns available and new ones are being designed all the time. If you have seen a pantograph or liked one you see in the gallery, we can use it. If you have an idea (or even no idea) of what you want, we can help you decide. The possibilities are endless!
CUSTOM AND HEIRLOOM QUILTING
Starting at $0.2 per square inch. Your quilt can be enhanced by a design created uniquely for it. This can be something as basic as a specific design in each part of the quilt or a combination of various techniques. Heirloom is quilting that is traditional or artsy in nature. Techniques such as crosshatching, trapunto, stitch-in-the-ditch, small and micro-stippling, etc....are considered heirloom.
Actual cost per square inch for quilting will be determined by the density and complexity of the quilting you desire. We will try to give a reasonable estimate of actual cost at the time the quilt is received.
